Women's Health
VagKit
The Vagkit is a 3-in-1 test for vaginal infections. The current diagnosis for vaginal infection requires that the lady goes to the hospital, a swab sample is taken by a doctor or at the lab, the results released after 72hrs for treatment to be given. The major problems associated with testing is the fact that the test is invasive, inconvenient, expensive and takes too long. Incas diagnostics has developed a self-test which uses urine and returns the result in only 10 minutes. This innovation is a multi-award-winning product, having won the Burton Morgan Prize and Shurz innovation Challenge in Purdue university in 2018 and 2017 respectively and was nominated for the innovation Prize for Africa.
HCG Ultra
The Incas HCG ultra (Strip and cassette) is a highly sensitive test for pregnancy. A normal pregnancy test has a sensitivity of 25miu/ml and can detect pregnancies within 12-16 days after implantation. The Incas HCG ultra has a sensitivity of 10miu/ml and can detect pregnancies within 7-9 days after implantation.
Ovulation
In every cycle there are only a few days when a woman can conceive. The Incas Ovulation Test detects the rise of the ovulation hormone LH (luteinizing hormone) 24-36 hours prior to ovulation and identifies the 2 best days to conceive in a given cycle. It’s more accurate than calendar and temperature methods.
Integrated Point-of-care test for Pregnant women

Hepatitis B Test (HBsAg)
The Incas Test for Hepatitis B is for the qualitative detection of hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) in human blood samples. Hepatitis B virus (HBV) is the causative agent of hepatitis B. An estimated 257 million individuals are living with hepatitis B virus infection and early detection is key to its management. The Incas Hepatitis B test can detect HBsAg, 1 to 12 weeks after exposure and 2 to 6 weeks before the onset of clinical symptoms.
HIV 1&2
The Incas HIV 1/2 Rapid Test Cassette (Whole blood/Serum/Plasma) is a rapid chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection of antibodies to Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) type 1, type 2 in whole blood, serum or plasma. The Rapid Test Cassette (Whole blood/Serum/Plasma)) has been compared with a leading commercial HIV EIA test. The correlation between these two systems is >99.0 %.
Malaria Pf/Pan
The Malaria P.f./Pan Rapid Test Cassette (Whole Blood) is a rapid chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection of four kinds of circulating plasmodium falciparum (P. falciparum, P. vivax , P. ovale, and P. malariae) in whole blood. The test cassette contains anti-HRP-II of Plasmodium falciparum antibodies and anti-Plasmodium falciparum Aldolase antibodies and anti-HRP-II antibodies and anti-Aldolase antibodies coated on the membrane. Results are read at 10 minutes
Syphilis
The Syphilis Rapid Test Cassette (Whole blood/Serum/Plasma) is a rapid chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection of antibodies (IgG and IgM) to Treponema Pallidum (TP) in Whole blood, serum or plasma to aid in the diagnosis of Syphilis. The Syphilis Rapid Test Cassette (Whole blood/Serum/Plasma) has been compared with a leading commercial ELISA Syphilis test, demonstrating an overall accuracy greater than or equal to 99.6%.
Typhoid IgM/IgG
The Incas Igm/IgG test for Typhoid is a rapid test for the simultaneous detection and differentiation of IgG and IgM antibodies against Salmonella typhi (S. typhi), the organism which causes typhoid fever. World-wide an estimated 17 million cases and 600,000 associated deaths occur annually from typhoid fever. Typhoid is often mistaken for malaria since they have similar symptoms. Early detection is therefore key to its management.
G&C kit
The Incas G&C kit is a 2-in-1 test for the qualitative detection of Chlamydia trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhoea in female cervical swab, male urethral swab and male urine specimens to aid in the diagnosis of Chlamydia and/or gonorrhoea infection.
Covid Ag Test
The Incas Covid Ag test is a test for the qualitative detection of antigens of SARS CoV 2 in nasopharyngeal and oral swabs

Test for Alcohol

Drugs Of Abuse
The Drug of Abuse test is a 10-panel test for drugs of abuse namely THC (Marijuana), OPI (Opiates), BAR (Barbiturates), COC (Cocaine), BZO (Benzodiazepine), TRA (Tramadol), AMP (Amphetamine), COT (Nicotine), MOP (Morphine) and TCA (Tricyclic antidepressants). It is a urine-based test which gives you results within 15 minutes.
Test for Marijuana
The test for Marijuana is a rapid immunoassay that identifies THC metabolites in urine, providing quick results for substance use screening. Avian Influenza Virus
The Incas test for Avian Influenza Virus is a panel test for the detection of H5, H6, H7, H9, H10 viruses and LPAI. It has the ability to detect and differentiate several subtypes which causes bird flu among poultry.
Test for Sudan IV in palm oil
The test for Sudan IV in palm oil uses a color change to identify this harmful dye, ensuring food safety and compliance with regulations. A black color is indicative of Sudan IV, which is often illegally added to palm oil to enhance its appearance. This simple and cost-effective test helps regulatory authorities and food producers ensure the safety and quality of edible oils.
Anthrax
The Anthrax test is a rapid test to detect Bacillus anthracis antibodies, crucial for rapid response in infection cases in animals. PPR
PPR (Peste des Petits Ruminants) is a rapid test to diagnose this highly contagious viral disease affecting sheep and goats. Foot and Mouth Disease tests are rapid diagnostic tools designed to detect the virus in livestock. These tests are essential for early identification and containment of outbreaks, which can have devastating economic impacts on the agricultural sector. The portability and speed of these tests make them ideal for use in the field, enabling veterinarians to take swift action.
Molecular Point-of-Care Tests
The yaws kit, which is an ultra-sensitive molecular test for yaws. This is a very debilitating disease affecting children living in extremely rural and poor communities in Africa and the Caribbean. If left untreated, it can lead to gross deformities and disabilities. The good news is that it can easily be treated with a single dose of a very low-cost drug called azithromycin.
The major issue is that, for a long time, there was no simple and accurate way to diagnose the disease especially in the communities. Previously, samples were sent outside Ghana. Recently, samples are taken and sent to Noguchi for testing. Incas Diagnostics developed a molecular based test for use on the field. This test was selected as one of the 30 innovations for the World Health Organization’s Africa Innovation Challenge. It has won grants from WHO, Grand Challenges Africa and Grand Challenges Canada.
